EASY SEED PACKET SAVER

SEED PHOTO ALBUMORGANIZE YOUR SEED PACKETS

It’s hard to organize and store seed packets —especially after they’ve been opened and you want to save the remaining seeds.  The seed name or planting instructions might have been torn off, and it’s frustrating to try to store packets in some kind of order so you can easily find what you’re looking for the next time you’re ready to plant.  That is, if you can find them. Seed packets are easily misplaced.org

Here’s one solution:

  • Get a three-ring binder and binder photo-saving pages.  These are clear plastic, 3-hole punched and have pockets for either 3.5″ x 5″ or 4″x 6″ photos.  (Either size works for most seed packets.) The sheets are readily available at office supply stores.  (The ones shown below are manufactured by Avery.

  • The sheets have four pockets on each side and are available as top-loaded or side-loaded. (Top-loaded makes it easier to retrieve packets and any loose seeds.)

  • Fold over the top of opened seed packets and insert them into the pockets.

  • You can add labels to the front of the pockets to write seed planting dates and more.
